How to overwrite the default skedify.video configuration?

While most of the settings are pushed by the central configuration of skedify.video, you can choose to overwrite some of these settings and configure your own defaults.  These settings will be stored in your internet browser.  When accessing skedify.video, your settings will default to these setting until your either

  • Change them manually on this page (see below);
  • Reset the settings on this page (more info);
  • Clear your browser cache.

To access these settings, go to https://meet.skedify.video/

Clicking the three dots, right-hand side under the video preview will open up the Settings Menu

This will allow you to select a video device.

If "default" is selected, skedify.video will automatically take the default camera of your operating system.

By default, skedify.video will look for your primary video device, specified in your operating system.

This will allow you to select a microphone device.

If "default" is selected, skedify.video will automatically take the default microphone of your operating system.

 

 

By default, skedify.video will look for your primary microphone device, specified in your operating system.

This will allow you to select a speaker device.

If "default" is selected, skedify.video will automatically take the default speaker of your operating system.

 

 

By default, skedify.video will look for your primary speaker device, specified in your operating system.

Advanced settings allow you to update some miscellaneous settings where "View presentation in full motion" and "Screen sharing quality" are the two most important ones.

The default settings are set to cover the average meeting, keeping into account both quality and speed/motion of the web-conference.

 

Default settings are

  • confirm when disconnecting = ON
  • View in full motion = ON
  • Anonymous statistics = ON
  • High contrast = OFF
  • Device pairing = ON
  • Sceen sharing quality = 5FPS

This will show you statistics and logs of the app and your browser which can be used for support queries.

The most useful button here is the reset button, to clear all the settings linked to skedify.video on this browser

 

Do note that changing settings will NOT affect any of your open skedify.video screens immediately.  If you need to change setting on open skedify.video session, you can manually update the settings for that specific session via the control menu (click the three dots next to your name).
